A Work Trip That Turned Into a Weekend Away
A Friday work trip, a last-minute campsite and what was supposed to be a gentle three-mile stroll. Somehow, we ended up in Taunton with two hot dogs, a dodgy AI route and several very necessary pub stops.

We’re not here to tell you how to live in a van, conquer the wilderness or create the perfect photogenic pitch.
We just love getting away.
Sometimes everything goes beautifully. Sometimes the weather turns, something breaks or one of us makes a decision that seemed considerably better at the time.
Either way, we’ll tell you what actually happened.

Meet the Crew
Two humans, two dogs and one much-loved VW called Vinny.
Between us, we handle the driving, cooking, cocktails, campsite security, biscuit quality control and the transportation of at least one completely unnecessary dartboard.
We’re still unclear who’s actually in charge.

Photographer, planner and chief route finder. Usually knows where we’re going… eventually.
Alex
Chief cocktail maker, chief driver and professional BBQ burner. Queen of the camper.
Vinny
2014 VW T5. Home, hotel, cosy cave and occasional mechanical challenge.
Hendricks
Official welcome committee, professional stick inspector and expert at finding the muddiest route possible. Believes every stranger is just a friend who hasn’t thrown a ball yet.
Boë
Chief campsite security, cuddle specialist and enthusiastic squirrel spotter. Small in size, huge in personality and always ready for the next adventure.
